2--Lost Forest St (Richard Sims=RS): 2 Blue Jays, 2 Golden-Fronted Woodpecker, 1 Western Kingbird.

3--Olmos Park (Jerry and Karen Moulder): Yellow-crowned Night-Heron

4--Mitchell Lake (Ron Weeks): 20 White-rumped Sandpipers, 2 Groove-billed Ani, 1 Barn Owl.

5--Cooksey Rd (RS): 7 White-winged Doves, 4 Western Kingbird, 7 Bobwhite, 2 Wild Turkey, 1 American Crow.

5--Mitchell Lake (Ron Cabral=RC): 2 Least Grebe (1 adult, 1 baby), 2 Bullock's Orioles on nest, 1 Couch's Kingbird, 4 Western Kingbirds, 3 Bewick's Wren, 2 Yellow-billed Cuckoo.

7--Brooks AFB (Keith Bartels=KB): 1 Couch's Kingbird singing.

7--Mitchell Lake (Mike Creese=MC): 3 Groove-billed Ani and nest, 10 White-rumped Sandpipers, 1 Stilt Sandpiper, 2 Common Ground-Dove, 1 Barn Owl, 15 Cliff, 13 Cave Swallows, 15 Dickcissel.

8--North Bexar Co. (Robert Mosier): Anhinga

8--Live Oak (RS): 1 Bronzed Cowbird, 1 Loggerhead Shrike, 3 Western Kingbird

8--Green Road (RS): 1 Couch's Kingbird, 3 Cave Swallow, 2 Caracara.

8--1604 near Martinez Creek (RS): 25 Cliff Swallow

8--Castroville Regional Park (Helen Rejzek=HR): 2 Green Kingfisher, 1 Great-crested Flycatcher, 2 Couch's Kingbirds, 2 Blue Jay, 25+ Northern Rough-winged Swallows, Verdin, Painted Bunting, 2 Bullock's Oriole.

9--West Creek Park (HR): 5 Painted Bunting, Common Ground Dove, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Summer Tanager

10--Live Oak (RS): 2 Common Nighthawk

10--Mitchell Lake (Georgina Schwartz=GS): 12 White-rumped Sandpipers, 1 Least Grebe, Green Herons with babies, 4 Black-necked Stilts, 1 Common Ground Dove, 10 Dickcissel, 2 Bullock's Orioles with nest, 4 Loggerhead Shrike.

10--Mitchell Lake (MC): 2 Groove-billed Anis and nest, 1 Roseate Spoonbill, 2 Pied-billed Grebe with 4 young, 1 Red-tailed Hawk, 1 Swainson's Hawk, Black-necked Stilts (18 with 4 nests), 16 White-rumped Sandpipers, 2 Common Ground Dove, 20 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers, 4 Northern Rough-winged Swallows, 6 Cliff and 6 Cave and 16 Barn Swallows, 1 Blue Grosbeak, 1 Indigo and 2 Painted Buntings.

12--North Bexar Co. (WB): Purple Martins: 73 eggs, 66 hatched, 64 fledged.

12--Pike Rd (KB): Brown-crested Flycatcher

12--Pheasant and Richter Rds (Jerry Fischer): Bronzed Cowbird

13--Loop 410 at 281 (KB): 1 Swainson's Hawk

13--Mitchell Lake (Ron Hillstromb): Groove-billed Ani, Blue Grosbeak

14--Hillside Peak (Leslie Linehan): 3rd nest of Purple Martin fledglings

14--Mitchell Lake (RC and Lee Clausen): Pied-billed Grebe (1 adult and 3 chicks), 2 Least Sandpipers, 70 Black-necked Stilt, 2 Common Ground Dove, 3 Yellow-billed Cuckoo, 1 Barn Owl with mouse, 35 Dickcissel, 1 Pyrrhuloxia, 2 Bullock's and 1 Orchard Orioles, Gadwall.

15--Harcourt, 19500 Bulverde Rd (Steve Hawkins): 3 Chuck-Will's-Widow

15--Encino Park (Greg Lisciandro): 1 Great-horned Owl

15--Our Lady of the Lake University (KB): looks like new heron rookery at their lake

16--Live Oak Park Lake (Sandra Guerrero and Jane McNeil): park flooded. Hooded Oriole (male), Blue Jay, White winged and Inca Doves, Barn Swallows, Purple Martins, Red-tailed Hawk, Crow, Loggerhead Shrike, Scissor-tailed flycatcher, Killdeer, Mockingbirds.

17--Lost Forest St (RS): 35 Chimney Swift

17--Castle West Animal Hospital, Blanco and West Avenue (Greg Lisciandro): Pacific Loon turned in to this veterinarian after being grounded in a parking lot in north central San Antonio. Released at Boerne Lake. Not seen again by 3 observers next day. Pictures on SAAS website.

17--Calaveras Lake (Fran Campbell): Moorhen with chicks, Pied-billed Grebe with chicks, Curved-billed Thrasher, Least Bittern, Bobwhite, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Ladder-backed Woodpecker.

18--Haggard Ranch, I-35 south (Metha Leslie): 1 Anhinga, 2 Green Heron, 1 Painted Bunting.

20--Mitchell Lake (RC): 2 Caracara, 2 Loggerhead Shrikes building nest, 3 Curve-billed Thrasher

22--Lost Forest St (RS): 33 Purple Martins, 2 Blue Jay, 3 Golden-fronted Woodpeckers, 2 Western Kingbirds

23--Mitchell Lake (MC and SAAS): Least Grebe, 200 Snowy Egrets, 2 Roseate Spoonbill, 3 Lesser Nighthawk, 1 Common Nighthawk, 22 Western Kingbird, 35 Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, 20 cliff Swallow, 8 Cave Swallow, 14 Barn Swallow, 3 Blue Grosbeak, 3 Painted Bunting, 10 Dickcissel.

23--FM 725 between I-10 and FM 78 west of Seguin (Don Schaezler): 1 Swallow-tailed Kite.

24--Mitchell Lake (Marge Lumpe): Ladder-backed Woodpecker, Dickcissel, Bullock's Oriole, Common Moorhen, Common Ground Dove, 2 Cinnamon Teal, Spotted Sandpiper, Blue Grosbeak, Green Herons.

25--Evans Rd between Bulverde Rd and Nacogdoches Rd (WB): 1 Wild Turkey

26--Pleasanton Rd bridge near Mitchell Lake (Andy Garcia): 2 Roseate Spoonbills.

26--Mitchell Lake (GS): 1 Least Grebe, 1 Ruddy Duck, 3 Common Ground Dove, 2 Chimney Swift, 3 Painted Bunting, 3 Lark Sparrow, 1 Orchard Oriole, 3 Bullock's Oriole.

28--Woodlawn Lake (Carol Beth Arnette): Common Moorhen with 3 babies, 1 Green Heron

28--Government Canyon SNA (GS & HR): 8 Common Ground-Dove, 3 Yellow-billed Cuckoo, 1 Ash-throated Flycatcher, 30 Painted Buntings, Lark Sparrow, Eastern Phoebe with nest. Many Walking Sticks in pairs in the cedars.

29--Avenue A, Brackenridge Park (HR): Great-crested Flycatcher with young, Red-shouldered Hawk.

29--Friedrich Park (GS): 1 Golden-cheeked Warbler, 1 Yellow-breasted Chat, 2 Lark Sparrow, 2 Lesser Goldfinch.

30--Evans Lake (GS & HR): 3 Roseate Spoonbill, 1 Avocet, 4 White Pelicans.

30--VA Hospital (WB): A few Purple martins in the courtyard, but nowhere near as many as last year.

30--Rio Medina (Jan McClintock): Roadrunner, Ash-throated Flycatcher, Black-chinned Hummingbird, Rufous-crowned Sparrow, Wild Turkey, Bobwhite, Lesser Goldfinch, Long-billed Thrasher, Indigo and Painted Buntings
